Golf
Dton Naam is thrilled to have Golf as a full time Thai staff. Golf gained some great training at a Thai church helping people in the slums. He served in this church for a few years having many responsibilities, such as working with teenagers, visiting the poor, taking the sick to hospitals and clinics, treating wounds, helping drug addicts and alcoholics. Golf is also experienced in playing and teaching electric, acoustic and classical guitar. He is a gifted musician and has helped lead worship in different churches and small groups in Bangkok. He has worked in various musical fields, such as setting up stages, lighting, sound, marketing, and even was a radio voice. His passion definitely involves music but he really has a strong desire to help orphans and teenagers. Golf also has a little bakery experience, so will be leading the “chef” training in the cafe. He is also training the baristas and leading the music program of Dton Naam.
Golf’s wife Nuch used to be a full time staff member at Dton Naam, working on the accounts and administration but has recently moved on to work elsewhere. As a co-founder of the ministry, Nuch is still in touch and fully supportive of the ministry and its developments. Golf and Nuch have been married for eight years and have a wonderful daughter Jasmine.
Celeste McGee
Celeste McGee is originally from Oklahoma and moved to Thailand in February of 2007. She is the ministry administrator and founder of DtonNaam Ministries. Previously, she worked in a non-profit program helping Thai females leave prostitution where she worked alongside Nuch. Over time, Celeste felt more and more led to start a program for Thai men to leave prostitution and have a place to heal. She has a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling and loves leading support groups and counseling individuals. She coordinates volunteer teams, outreach programs, class schedules and enjoys making the occasional latte.
We are very thankful to our Board Members, our Supporters and everyone who has volunteered to help this ministry get going. Thank you for helping us reveal to these young Thai men that their lives, their identity, their bodies are so much more valuable than money and/or a one night stand.
