12 Days of Christmas

We can’t believe it, but Christmas was 2 months ago! 2021 was much more difficult for us in Bangkok than 2020, with the cafe team taking the hardest hits. Yet, we are daily choosing hope and peace, and have been reflecting on the many reasons to celebrate in the midst of this hard year. As we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, we’ve seen how situations that seemed hopeless and overwhelming can still somehow be worked out for good. It seems like we are often grieving over/with people losing family to covid and the constant political oppression and losses in Myanmar, sometimes daily receiving sad news that directly impacts the team and students. But, somehow, Light continues to illuminate the darkest places and that promise strengthens us. Two recent confirmations of this was how our supporters gave generously in both the Fall campaign and Giving Tuesday, exceeding both of those amounts needed. Other reasons are how our team continues to love, support and encourage each other and our students are learning and healing more every day. We hope you felt the warm comfort and light surrounding you during the Christmas and New Year season.

“The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light
And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, Upon them a Light dawned…”
Matt. 4:16

Let’s celebrate some of the ways your giving impacted people’s lives last year!

Giving Tuesday Update

This year for Giving Tuesday, our goal was to raise $3,650 to sponsor 12 students for one month in 2022. You guys blew that goal out of the water! The giving total was $6,750. It was a beautiful surprise for our team. Thank you so much for supporting our students and our work here in Bangkok!
